Year Group Placement Guide
What year group should my child join?
As a British Curriculum School, we follow a 13 year school system. Some school systems follow a 12 year system. If you are transferring from a 12 year system, we have provided a table on this page to help you identify the equivalent year group on entry.
As per ADEK guidelines, a child's year group on entry is determined by their age on 31 August of their year of entry. The table on this page shows the expected year group on entry according to age. Please use this to determine which year group your child should be in.
